She is recognised for an entrepreneurial yet rigorously analytical approach to non-financial risk management and governance. A natural leader, she is focused on fostering interdisciplinary partnerships, building effective teams and collaborative stakeholder management.
As Global Operational Risk Manager of a leading hedge fund, Carolin has designed and implemented a steady state operational risk management framework, policies, tool and process in line with senior management specification.
During her time at an international investment bank, Carolin was leading the Operational Risk team for the largest division by RWA. She was empowered to adapt and implement a proportionate version of the bank wide Operational Risk Framework for the wind down division to make it fit for purpose in support of ambitious RWA reduction plans (from $54bn in 3Q 2015 to $8bn by end of 2018).
